Magnificent Japanese temple built in 1922 dedicated to the Shinto god Okuninushi No Mikoto who would bring luck to those who worship him.
Beautiful Japanese temple built in 1922 dedicated to the Shinto god Okuninushi No Mikoto, who would bring luck to those who worship him. It is a branch of the temple of the same name built in Japan in the city of Izumo. Important ceremonies are held there every 10th of the month, at 7pm. Note at the entrance of the temple the big braided rope, called Shimenawa, which symbolizes the passage between the sacred and the profane. It was braided in rice straw in Japan and presented during an exhibition in 1994. Also worth seeing is the "Hiroshima Peace Bell" at the entrance.
