PUNCHBOWL NATIONAL MEMORIAL CEMETERY
Cemetery that hosts about 34,000 men and women who died during the various wars of the twentieth century
On the Puowaina crater, where the alii (members of the royal family) were once buried, is a cemetery of nearly 50 hectares. It is home to about 34,000 men and women who died during the various wars of the 20th century, including the victims of Pearl Harbour and, among others, an astronaut and Obama's grandfather. A memorial and a photo exhibition pay tribute to them. Don't miss the beautiful view of Honolulu from the platform at the top of the cemetery.
