Path that winds between eucalyptus, banyan and bamboo with a possible detour to a beautiful bamboo grove

Once you leave your car at the parking lot (5 US$), a well-marked trail leads to the Manoa Falls. The Manoa Falls are among the favorite destinations of visitors, and for good reason the hike is easy (count 1 hour) and allows you to immerse yourself in a tropical forest, without going too far from Waikiki. A welcome coolness in summer (bring mosquito repellent). The path winds between eucalyptus, banyan trees and bamboo with a possible detour to a beautiful bamboo grove. Be careful, swimming is forbidden under the falls.

Une petite balade assez rapide, comptez environ 40min / 1h aller retour. Le décor est agréable notamment lorsque vous marchez dans la forêt d'eucalyptus puis la forêt de bambous. Nous y sommes allés en début d'après midi et il y avait vraiment beaucoup trop de monde pour apprécier la balade. La cascade est jolie mais sans plus à mon sens. Des randonnées comme koko crater Head, koko Arch, Lanikai Pillbox trail ou encore celle du Crouching Lion sont pour moi bien plus jolies !

Une petite randonnée en forêt d'à peine 1 heure aller retour qui nous amène à une cascade. Lors de ma visite la cascade n'étais qu'un petit filet d'eau car pas eu de pluie depuis longtemps mais j'ai quand même bien apprécier la visite. Le parking est payant 3$ pour les résidents ou 5$ pour les vacanciers. Les fans de Lost (la série TV) seront ravie de découvrir cette endroit.

L'accès aux chutes d'eau est "facile" d'accès, mais y aller en baskets, c'est quand même plus pratique même s'il fait beau, car c'est humide, la terre est mouillée, et donc certains endroits glissants (donc en tongs, c'est pire).

Mais le paysage est très beau, un passage dans les bambous, un passage dans la forêt, à faire pendant le séjour.
