USS UTAH MEMORIAL
Wreck of the USS Utah, built at the very beginning of the 20th century, still visible on the surface of the water
Built at the very beginning of the 20th century, the USS Utah served during the First World War before being converted into a simple "target" ship for American training. It is therefore the fact that it was exceptionally moored in the usual place of aircraft carriers that caused it to be sunk (irony?). Like the USS Oklahoma, it capsized on its side, taking 58 sailors with it. She was then turned over in 1944 so as not to block the entrance to the bay, but her wreckage is still visible on the surface of the water.
