PACIFIC AVIATION MUSEUM PEARL HARBOR
The museum presents 70 years of aviation history throughout the Pacific, absolutely fascinating
Hangar 37 survived the attack of December 7, 1941. After watching a 12-minute film of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, visitors are shown an authentic Japanese "Zero" and then aircraft that fought on that fateful day. This museum, which presents 70 years of aviation history throughout the Pacific, is absolutely fascinating and must be seen even if you don't know anything about planes! You will also be able to take beautiful pictures in front of the superb planes exposed. We recommend the guided tour which allows you to understand the Japanese military strategy of the attack on Pearl Harbor through the Japanese aircraft on site. You will visit hangars 37 and 79 which are in fact those of the Pearl Harbor base where the attack of December 7, 1941 took place. And you can even see authentic Japanese bullet holes! During this visit, we will also tell you about the tragic and unknown fate of this Hawaiian of Japanese origin from the island of Niihau who was mistaken for a traitor after the attack and committed suicide... A curiosity to see: a plane that George Bush would have flown in his youth. Finally, thrill seekers can head to the flight simulator to board a Fighter Ace 360 and fly over the bay. Possibility to fly the aircraft, attention 150 places available per day only on site. The control tower is also the subject of a guided tour.
