Now called by its original name "Kalaniana'ole Beach Park", but the signs are not always up to date. Very popular with the locals, this beach is very pleasant for swimming in its southern part. It is also a good spot for boogie-boarding in its northern part, where the sea is rougher. The Mermaid Cave is located here, accessible through a hole dug in the volcanic rock. Toilets, showers, basketball court. Camping allowed with a permit. The beach is very popular with locals on weekends, it's a change from Waikiki!
