Kahaluu Beach Park is one of the best snorkeling spots on the island
A beach whose sand is gray due to the erosion of volcanic stones. The presence of ruined temples (heiaus) indicates that several royal families have lived nearby. The sea, sheltered by a rocky barrier, is very frequented by sea turtles and... divers who come to observe them. It is one of the best spots for snorkeling on the island. However, beware of strong currents as soon as you go beyond the area protected by the rocks! Possibility to book surfboards or lessons.
