The National Park is the terminus of the Red Line (or Line 11) which leaves from Hilo and serves The Volcano Village. Five buses a day make the trip on weekdays, 4 on weekends. The last bus leaves the park at 6:15 pm. Line 10, which runs from Hilo to Ocean View in the west, also stops in the park but has only one bus per day. Bus schedules are available at the Hilo bus station. They are also available on the Hele-on bus website. The bus stop is inside the park, between the restrooms and the art gallery.
