L'accès au parc est payant (par véhicule). On peu prendre un pass couvrant plusieurs des parcs sur les différentes îles pour un peu moins cher qu'un pass par parc.
Les gardes sont intéressants et connaissent leur sujet.
Il est beaucoup plus impressionnant de découvrir le cratère la nuit que le jour. Les fumées rouges ressortent davantage qu'en plein jour.
Parmi les différents parcours proposés : IKI trail au fond d'un cratère au milieu des fumerolles est super à faire. Vérifier les conditions avant de partir.
