A Hilo institution since 1977, Big Island Candies makes delicious shortbread cookies flavored with macadamia nuts, chocolate and other local flavors. There are many tastings to get a feel for the product but also to choose your favorite. During the week, you can watch the cakes being made in the factory, which makes the visit even more interesting.
