LILIUOKALANI GARDENS
This 12-hectare park, created at the beginning of the 20th century, recalls the world of Japanese gardens and their wonders
This 12-hectare park was created at the beginning of the 20th century to pay tribute to the first Japanese immigrants on the island. Pagodas, fish ponds, carefully trimmed bushes... Everything reminds the world of Japanese gardens and their wonders. A very nice walk to do! Its name is of course that of the last queen of Hawaii, Queen Liliukalani. It is also the access point to the small island of Coconut Island which offers a very nice view on the highest peak of the island, Mauna Kea. Ideal for a picnic break or a nap.
