A typical open-air market is a must if you are in Hilo on Wednesday or Saturday! Local fruits and vegetables, handicrafts, jewelry, beautiful Hawaiian dresses (large choice and good prices), Hawaiian souvenirs of all kinds... In short, everything is there and the typical atmosphere is very pleasant. The prices of fruits and vegetables are quite high (and not always indicated!) but it is the perfect place to discover what is present on the island: litchis, longanis, dragon fruits, pitaya, mountain apples or rambutant
