" Hale Pa'i ", or the home of the printing house, is the first printer on the island. It is located next to the public lycée of Lahaina, which is the former seminary of Lahainaluna created by the missionaries in 1831. Six years later, the latter and their students translated the Bible into Hawaiian, swannack historical texts and created the first newspaper of the archipelago (1834).
