WO HING MUSEUM & cookhouse
Chinese temple marking the importance of Chinese immigration to Lahaina with a museum with period photos and handicrafts.
Visible in the middle of Front Street, this Chinese temple built by the Wo Hing Society is a testament to the importance of Chinese immigration to Lahaina and the strong connection that families had with their home regions. The building housed a religious space and a reception area for members, today an interesting museum with handicrafts and period photos. It was the Chinese immigrants who built the irrigation system and the bridges on the island.
