BANYAN TREE
Banyan tree imported from India to celebrate the 50 years of missionary presence in Lahaina, works are exhibited there on weekends.
It is impossible to miss this immense banyan tree - the largest in the United States - which occupies a whole square! Imported from India and planted in 1873 to celebrate the 50 years of the missionaries' presence in Lahaina, it has become a sort of privileged and shaded oasis in this city where the sun hits hard. At sunset, you should stop by to listen to the hundred or so mainates that come to sing a sweet melody! Every weekend, many local artists exhibit their paintings and sculptures there. Its birthday is April 24.

Impressionnant.
Dans une petite ville sympathique et commerçante de bord de mer.
Ombre appréciable lorsque le soleil tape.
