If you want to learn to surf in Maui, Big Kahuna Adventures is the place to go. This surf and stand up paddle school offers beginner or intermediate lessons in both disciplines, in groups or privately. Two departures in the morning, reservation recommended on their website because places are expensive. Those who prefer sitting will choose the three to five hour kayak tours in search of turtles and dolphins. The tour includes snorkeling equipment and lunch. Water sports equipment can be rented separately.
