Peninsula with black rocks and a church, which was once a small village of taro planters, banana bread to taste.
This beautiful peninsula with black rocks and deep blue water is really a photogenic place. The church in the field surrounded by palm trees just behind completes the picture. A magical natural landscape! A small village of taro planters used to live here, unfortunately it was destroyed by a tsunami in the 1940's, leaving only a nice little church intact. Keanae peninsula is a must-see stop on the way to Hana as it is where Aunty Sandy sells his legendary banana bread, so come early!
