LANAI CULTURE AND HERITAGE CENTER
Museum retracing nearly a thousand years of Lanai's history, from its first inhabitants to the Dole plantation, through objects
The museum is run by residents who are committed to preserving the culture of their island. It is dedicated to sharing Lanai's past, tracing nearly a thousand years of history, from its first inhabitants to the Dole plantation (1922-1993). Work clothes, tools and archival photos in the showcase plunge us into the difficult daily life of these pineapple field workers from Portugal, China, Japan, the Philippines, Korea or Puerto Rico.
