Saint Francis Church, built in 1899, houses several portraits of Father Damien.
Saint Francis Church is a white painted church with a sober architecture. Built in 1899, it was partially destroyed by fire in 1906. The priest André, who had it rebuilt in 1907, gave it a more gothic style. Inside, you will find several portraits of Father Damien. Still used by the locals, it is currently closed to tourists, due to the covid-19 pandemic, but the exterior is still nice to see. It is on the route of the guided tours offered by the tours.
