Two impressive waterfalls of 46 meters high and 12 meters wide, with a viewpoint that allows for beautiful photos! Easily accessible, they are located 3 km from Highway 56, on Route 580. A sign clearly indicates the junction. The name "Opaekaa" refers to the shrimp that were abundant at the foot of the waterfall. The parking lot with the viewpoint has toilets and picnic tables. Another interesting viewpoint on the Waimea River on the other side of the road. No pedestrian access to the falls.
