Large beach appreciated by colonies of monk seals that come to bask on the warm sand at Kapaa.
This large beach spreads its fine sand in front of the beautiful resorts of the east coast of Kauai. The 5-star access is through the Outrigger's pool while the "classic" access is south of the hotel along the river. The water can be tumultuous, beware of waves. The two pluses of the beach are its orientation, ideal to watch a sumptuous sunrise; and its frequentation: the beach is a place appreciated by colonies of monk seals which come to bask on the warm sand. Be careful not to approach them to avoid scaring them.
