Nice beach in Kapaa with a view of the mountains and the possibility to camp there with a permit
Nice beach mostly frequented by locals, hence the sometimes insistent looks. Its relatively calm waters are suitable for snorkeling in summer and surfing in winter. The view on the mountains makes it a good spot for picnics (tables and showers on site). Camping is possible with a permit. Walkers will enjoy the long walk along this strip of fine sand, with the possibility to continue to Kuaehu Point to the north and to the south to join the trails leading to Kahala Point, Laeokaili'u and, after crossing another beach, Opana Point.
