A very nice sandy beach. Advanced surfers and boogie-boarders regularly visit this beach in Kalihiwai Bay where the waves are raging. However, it is not recommended to swim there (especially in winter) because the Kalihiwai river flows into it, making the water tumultuous. On the other hand, the spot is ideal for kayaking and paddling, on the sea as well as at the mouth. There are rental companies all over the island offering kayaks and paddles by the day or by the week, provided of course that you can fix them on your roof.
