Former missionary house transformed into a museum, offering a guided tour Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in Hanalei.
Built in 1837, this former missionary house has been transformed into a museum. The furnishings and decorations are period. The museum tells the story of the missionaries who came from New England and how they went about evangelizing the Hawaiians. A very good introduction to the history of the Christianization of the archipelago in general. The guided tour is offered on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, first come first served.
