The museum focuses on the rich heritage of the region and provides a wealth of information about the surrounding landscape and nature.
The Port Hardy Museum focuses on the rich heritage of the area and provides a wealth of information about the landscape and surrounding nature. Stone tools, artefacts and fossils are dated to 8000 BC, and souvenirs and relics of the early Danish settlers are on display in the museum. The museum is a non-profit making organisation and admission is free of charge on donations. A visit to the museum is fairly quick because the establishment is rather small, but it is nevertheless interesting to see the economic development of the town over the years.
