FRANK SLIDE
Pass on the border of the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, evoking a disaster that occurred in April 1903.
Located on the border of the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, this pass evokes a disaster that occurred on April 29, 1903, which buried part of the mining town of Franck. At the place called "Franck", the mountain collapsed and dumped 90 million tons of rock on the city. The show is impressive, the boulders seem to be made of polystyrene. An interpretation centre explains the causes of this disaster, as well as the very neglected conditions in which miners worked until the early 1900s.
