Historic fishing village with a history of salmon and the old 19th century cannery in Prince Rupert.
This historic fishing village is home to the history of salmon and the old 19th century cannery that employed Aboriginal, Japanese, Chinese and Europeans. After very successful years, the cannery closed its doors in 1968. North Pacific Historic Fishing Village is an attraction in Prince Rupert that is worth a visit to appreciate the evolution of West Coast populations and the fishing industry.
