MACBRIDE MUSEUM
Macbride Log Cabin Museum in Whitehorse presenting collections in an attractive manner.
This building, made of logs and with an earthen roof, has been the keeper of the memory of the entire Yukon Territory since prehistoric times. The collections are attractively presented; it's the perfect place to begin your journey to the Yukon and to understand its eventful history from the First Nations to the Klondike Gold Rush, and much more. The museum grounds contain Sam McGee's log cabin. He became the character in Robert W. Service's most famous poem, the "Bard of the Yukon," The Cremation of Sam McGee.
