Historic section with a few steamboat hulks and remnants of campsites.
The Thirty Mile section of the Yukon River between Lake Laberge and the Teslin River is protected by the Canadian Heritage Rivers System. By 1896, many steamships were transporting prospectors to the Klondike goldfields. Many captains have seen their paddlewheelers sink in these cold, bubbling waters. Some boat carcasses and camp remains are found along this historic stretch.
