MORAINE LAKE
A turquoise blue lake surrounded by the Valley of the Ten Peaks, the starting point for many hikes of all levels.
This turquoise-blue lake had the honour of illustrating the old $20 CDN denomination. A path leads to the viewpoint depicted on the note. From this stretch of water, surrounded by the valley of the Ten Peaks, many hikes of all levels start. In high season, the road is sometimes cut before the lake parking lot to regulate the traffic which can be very dense. Remember to get there early in the morning or fairly late in the afternoon. The Tower of Babel Trail allows you to see the Consolations Lakes and climb 450 metres to the top of the lake.

The road is sometimes cut before the site to control the traffic. Parking along the road
The lake is of exceptional blue. Very photogenic.
You can go on the " Tour de Babel" which dominates Moraine Lake, by a pedestrian path or the rocks but you need to pass on trees in water slippery (but it is good!)
Departure for Lake Consolation but to be absolutely 4 people. due to bear (precautions and obligations in use at the beginning of the trail)
Not to be not at the beginning of the site, and follow the easy trail 1.50km along the lake, and 500m, there is no more...
It is the buses of tourists and the " randonneurs" in barefoot, Ipad at hand, but it is a magnificent site, you get away from parks to better appreciate
