HOTEL THEODORE * * * *
This is the latest addition to the Providence Hotels: the Theodore was inaugurated in 2017 in the heart of Downtown, in a magnificent Art Deco brick building. The Hôtel Roosevelt, inaugurated in 1930, has fallen into disuse and has thus regained its letters of nobility and its original function. Its large living room, which remained for years the storage room of a cleaning company, reveals its pretty sculpted ceilings and glass roof, elegant sofas and green plants. The 234 rooms on 18 floors are decorated in a "Pacific Northwest" style with a retro touch, superbly equipped (with an espresso machine, a sofa, a vintage radio set) and decorated with MOHAI photos telling the industrial history of Seattle. The penthouse on the top floor offers a 360° view of the city. The hotel's bar-restaurant and café are new and lively places where you can enjoy a cocktail or eat meat cooked on the stove that crackles in the open kitchens, in an atmosphere reminiscent of the Gatsby the Magnificent faithful to the Roaring Twenties.
