BEFFROI
87 m high building, with a cariolle with 49 bells, housing an interpretation center dedicated to its history on site.
No doubt you've already spotted it. This 87-metre-high building has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1999. Built between 1661 and 1672 by Louis Ledoux and Vincent Anthony, it boasts a sober Baroque style with classical decorations and characteristic bulbs. Victor Hugo described it as "a coffee pot flanked by four teapots"! Its 49-bell carillon chimes every quarter-hour. On-site: an interpretation center dedicated to its history. Carillon concerts on Sundays at 11.10 a.m. or 2.30 p.m. (see calendar).
