NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
Museum that offers visitors beautiful collections of zoology, including birds in Mons
Less well known than its Brussels counterpart, the Natural History Museum in Mons is nevertheless one of the most interesting in the country. On two floors and nearly 1,000 m2, it offers visitors beautiful collections of zoology, particularly birds: golden eagle, hornbill, penguin, hummingbird and even the frightened owl. Numerous mammals are also on display (635 species in total), from the royal tiger to the Belgian wolf. Shells and fossils are also presented to visitors.
