ARTOTHÈQUE
Art library in the convent chapel with temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection.
Housed in the chapel of the Ursuline convent, which dates back to the early 18th century, the Artothèque is a conservation center for Montmorency's heritage, hosting temporary exhibitions. As a center for heritage storage, research, restoration and study, the Artothèque brings together collections that are not on permanent display at other sites. Deprived of its interior space after the Second World War, the chapel has since been redeveloped by opening up a large vertical slot running the full length and height of the nave.
