Hotel example of Flemish architecture influenced by the Holy Roman Empire in Mons

The facades of some old buildings have been repainted in bright colors. The Hôtel du Blan Lévrié is an example of Flemish architecture influenced by the Holy Roman Empire. In addition to the sign with the two greyhounds, imperial emblems can be seen on the façade. The building dates from 1530, and contrasts with the more modern buildings on the Grand Place. A fountain with 92 pumps completes the beautiful ensemble. During the Ducasse de Mons, the lively "Combat du Lumeçon" takes place here, as does the Christmas market in winter.

Très jolie place avec de nombreuses terrasses, un endroit très agréable sous le soleil. Admirez l'hôtel de ville et le théâtre dans lequel se sont déroulés les 30ans du Beatles' day. Il fallait absolument y être.

Une grande place très agréable, au cœur du centre-ville historique, très agréable, entourée de bars, restaurants et d'artères commerciales où il fait bon de déambuler surtout quand il fait beau ! Il y a souvent des événements en plus !

Jolie place aux bâtiments bien restaurés. Mons a longtemps souffert d'une mauvaise image. La ville est maintenant belle à voir. La plus belle partie pour moi se trouve entre le beffroi et la place. On y trouve de charmantes maisons.
Attention, pendant Noel, on perd facilement de vue le petit singe.
