You can't miss them - rickshaws are everywhere in central Kathmandu. These large tricycles carrying a chair protected by an umbrella or hood are driven by charismatic characters. And don't forget to treat yourself to a short rickshaw ride around town. Each one is decorated to the taste of its driver, and the ride through the narrow streets of Thamel and the imperial city is a pleasant one. You'll find plenty of them in Thamel, but also in the main squares in the center.
