The friendly manager of Prime Himalayas, Prakash, is the epitome of kindness. He goes out of his way for all his customers and to make their wishes come true. Based in Thamel, he started from scratch and has built up an excellent reputation locally with a discerning European clientele. As he so aptly puts it, his karma is more important than business! So whether you're looking for a few days' trekking or a discovery tour of Nepal, you'll be quickly taken in hand by a team that knows how to adapt to the unexpected. A great 100% local agency.

I'm a solo female traveler who loves nature, adventure, and good company! It is always a bit nerve-racking to travel internationally solo as a female but Prime Himalayas not only delivered on everything they advertised but went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable - they are chill, flexible, professional, and personable! I was delayed in getting to Nepal due to weather and the owner, Prakash, was more than willing to help me - pick me up from the airport at any hour I arrive, as well as rearrange my itinerary due to me losing a day from bad weather travels so I can still do everything that I signed up for. What made this experience special was Prime Himalayas's staff. They were beyond EXCELLENT and I really have to give a big shout out to Raj, my lead guide on my Annapurna hike as well as Dipak, my secondary guide! They are knowledgeable and they made me feel like family - so much laughter! Also, Raj is a pharmacist, if you can imagine, that is invaluable when you're on a hike without much medical assistance around. I love Prime Himalayas and would not only recommend them to others but I will definitely go back and book through them again. Thanks for the best time ever Prime Himalayas!

I recently took one of the most adverturous amazing treks with Prime Hilimayas! To say we were provided excellent service is an understatement. Prakest the owner pulled out all the bells and whistles for us. He answered all of my questions leading up to the trip. Arranged all of our flights, hotel accommodations, additional tours we wanted - everything. We arrived in the Kathmandu to our driver and guide holding a sign with our name. They quickly grabbed our luggage and drove us to our hotel where Prakesh met us personally to go over the trip details. He provided duffel bags for the trek, trekking poles, and sleeping bags free of charge. The next morning we did a tour of the Buddhist Temples in Kathmandu with lunch on the rooftop overlooking our 2nd temple. It was beautiful and I highly recommend. The following morning our driver picked us up and took us to the airport. He took our luggage into the airport for us, checked it and gave us our boarding passes. We didnt have to lift a finger. All we had to do was board the plane. The plane trip onto the mountain in Lukla was via a 15-passenger plane and very cool trip - stunning views! Upon exiting the plane we were greeted again by our guide Kavi and Pricas our porter. Our guide took us to the Tea House and got us some tea while Pricas collected our bags. Soon after we began our 9-day trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. I was really nervous about our accommodations, but Prakesh put us in the best lodges. We had toilets at every lodge while other groups who were with different companies did not. They had to use a communal hole in the ground. We also had hot showers in the first 4 tea houses we stayed in. I was not expecting to have a single hot shower while on the mountain. This was another aspect of our trip that was unexpected and very different from what other companies provided their guests with. We felt so blessed every day. Kavi our guide was simply amazing! He made sure we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and checked on us constantly. My husband was having a hard time hiking with a pinched nerve - Kavi massaged his leg daily (throughout the day when we would rest and at night before bed). He was very nurturing towards our daughter and checked on her religiously. He carred their back packs when they were tired, and literally gave me the coat off his back once. There was one morning my hands were freezing and they would not warm up. Kavi unbuttoned his shirt and put my hands on his stomach to warm them up. After about 5 minutes I was warm and good to go! He and our porter went above and beyond every single day on the mountain. The helicopeter ride back from base camp to Lukla was so cool getting to see all the villages we had visitied and mountains we had crossed. We were supposed to overnight at a tea house in Lukla and catch a plane the next morning but we asked Kavi if he could try to get us off the mountain that morning and back to Kathmandu where it was warm. Prakesh changed our flights and even held the plane back 2 hours for us so we could board and get back to Kathmandu. He also arranged new hotel accommodations for us since we were coming back a day early and had a driver at the Kathmandu airport to pick us and our luggage up again. He even took us out to dinner on our last night as an appreciation. The whole time we were like "what? we're so appreciative of you!" He goes above and beyond for his guests, and he does it becuase he truly believes in his company and gaol - to provide excellent memerable vacations for all his guests.

Highly recommend Prime Himalayas! So helpful, easygoing and our guide Arjun was the best! Experience of a lifetime!

Me and my girlfriend did the Langtang trek for 8 days, together with our guide from Prime Himalayas, Arjun (the best and nicest guide you could ask for). The trek itself was amazing and the scenery was magnificent. We also had a very good time and loads of fun together with our guide Arjun.

Some tips for the trek: Dorje bakery at the top village Kyanjin Gumpa (very nice owner, very good cakes and free wifi). Take a walk to the top of Kyanjin Ri for some spectacular views!

Also thanks to Prakash at the Prime Himalayas for being so helpful arranging our trip! Everything went just as smoothly as you want it to be!

Highly recommend Prime Himalayas and the Langtang trek!

I participated in Prime Himalaya's 12-night Annapurna Base Camp trek and tour in October 2022. I was a solo traveler who joined a group of 8 other trekkers. My entire experience with Prime Himalayas was amazing from start to finish. I was able to quickly and easily get in touch with Prakash, the owner of Prime Himalayas, via email, in order to select the dates for my trip. I booked 11 months in advance, so I had plenty of time to come up with questions, which Prakash was always quick to respond to. Once I arrived in Nepal, everything with the tour went extremely smoothly, from pick up at the airport to every aspect of the trek itself. Our guides, Arjun and Prem, were very professional and managed all aspects of the trek with ease. And our porters, Ashok, Shiva, Balaram, and Prakash, were wonderful trekking companions. This was my first time going on a trek like this, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it was truly an amazing experience made all the better by the wonderful staff of Prime Himalayas. Due to a flight change, I ended up having a couple extra days in Nepal, and Arjun and Prakash were able to arrange a last-minute add-on trip to Chitwan National Park at the end of the trek. Prakash has so many connections with other tour groups, transportation services, literally everything, that he and his staff were able to make anything possible. I know Prime Himalayas does treks in other areas of Nepal. This Annapurna Base Camp trek gave me the trekking bug, so I definitely would love to come back to this incredible country and do another trek (or treks), and I would definitely do it through Prime Himalayas.
