Located right in front of the Chhayabahal community pukhu , a traditional Newar pond, this hotel has just a few rooms. All are wood-panelled, carefully decorated and ventilated, with a view of the pond for the more expensive rooms, or a courtyard view for the more economical ones. -There is no 24 hour front desk so if you reach in the early morning it would be a problem because the main gate is closed and if you also reached late at night you would face the same problem.
- There is no hot water which was a huge problem for us.
Otherwise everything is good and the host is very kind and helpful.
Shailendra ji, the owner has authentic knowledge about the area. He will guide you through the culture and history of patan and the surrounding area.
The interiors are beautifully decorated. The view from the rooftop is amazing. After a whole day of work, a half an hour stay at the rooftop will freshen you up. There is a shared kitchen on the top floor, where you can take groceries and cook all by yourself.
