Located just below Norzim Lam Square, which forms the heart of Thimphu town, Clock Tower Square is not a must-see spot, but it is lined with restaurants, cafés and stores that are lively and frequented by the Bhutanese. The tower has a typical architecture with rich sculptures and paintings. It is, of course, flanked by a dragon. All around, small shops add a picturesque touch with their multicolored wooden facades and sloping roofs. The square is also a popular venue for concerts.
