Bhutan's first botanical park, very popular with the inhabitants of Thimphu, at the foot of the Dochula Pass, with a variety of plant species
This is Bhutan's first botanical park. At the foot of Dochula Pass, it forms a biological corridor between Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park and Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Park. Covering an area of more than 50 hectares, the park is home to 500 species of plants, including 46 species of rhododendrons, 18 of which are native to the garden. This place is very popular with the people of Thimphu who flock at weekends for picnics. At the end of the garden, the panorama over the valley and the Gangchen Nyezergang Lhakhang is magnificent.
