CRESTA RILEY’S HOTEL
Hotel of good standing offering 56 modern and comfortable rooms.
Riley's was a veritable institution for a long time. Its founder, Harry Riley, arrived in Maun in 1910. The establishment was originally a one-person rondavel, with a mattress as a bed. Later, Harry, a jovial man, combined two rondavels into a dining room. Maun's first hotel was born! Nowadays, the institution has evolved well. Bought by the Cresta group, one of the largest chains in Southern Africa, Riley's has become a hotel of good standing that can boast 56 modern and comfortable rooms.

Also, the rooms have very thin walls so if there is some domestic abuse going on next door you're going to hear it.
Very good breakfast and the rooms are clean and modern. Good local grocery stores but be careful in the area after dark. Maun is mainly a supply town for safari outings. Stay at Cresta Riley's for 1 or 2 nights max.
Warning because food takes forever to come out. I’m talking like an hour wait at least. I’m not sure why it is so slow, perhaps nothing is pre made. Staff are lovely but always came out halfway, just when we think food is about to be served, to tell us that it would take another 30 minutes.
