A large complex in the center of Kasane with a great spot to watch the sunset over the river.
This large lodge is situated in the centre of Kasane and has over 400m of direct access to the river. The lodge offers a variety of accommodation types, including comfortable villas for 4 to 6 people, honeymoon suites, luxury suites and simple standard rooms. As the name suggests, the lodge has a private jetty from which to embark on your boat trips. For those who prefer to relax, the bar is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the river. Restaurant on site. Swimming pool.

However, the service from some of the staff was really bad, especially in the main restaurant. It's potentially due to a lack of training but really basic issues. For example one night we were having a bbq outside. There was a lot of thunder and lightning, and we asked to take our food and eat under the covers of the restaurant. We were told this wasn't possible. It then started raining and we asked the same, to be told that we could go to our rooms but not use the restaurant which was about a 50m walk away. Eventually we just sat ourselves down. The staff were more concerned about ensuring that they had our room details to charge the room for the meal than the well being of guests.
Also there is no drinks menu at all (in a 4 star hotel), so you have no idea what you can order, or the price. Similarly when they have a buffet there is no info readily available on how much it costs.
`Other little things as well - for example just a lot of attention to detail on cleaning common areas, checking in on guests etc.
It almost feels like the hotel is being targeted for group tours and actively ignoring the needs of actual individual paying guests. It definitely was below the standard that I expected given price, hotel star rating and some of the recent review.
