Clean rooms and good local food in a modest but pleasant guesthouse in Jwaneng.

Since 2019, Thato and Naledi, two charming hosts, welcome you to their modest but pleasant guesthouse. The rooms are quite small, clean and some share an outdoor bathroom. They are equipped with a TV, a minibar and some with a microwave. For more independence, rooms at the back of the house are preferred. The kitchen is available for use upon request, but Naledi can also prepare delicious local dishes. A good place to stop over before heading back to the road.

We visited Namibia in 2019 and came across this gem in Jwaneng, Botswana. Since we were so impressed with the accommodation during our first trip, we decided to stay over at The Star B&B again during our recent trip from Namibia. We were travelling between Namibia and South Africa on 17 July 2023 and again made use of Thato's hospitality. We used 2 Deluxe rooms and again: it was spanking clean and offered everything one could basically desire for a brief stop-over. We had WiFi, a TV with SA channels, a small kitchenette, clean towels, fresh linen, a jug with water, body wash, tissues, etc. On top of all Thato still was the most accommodating, friendliest, politest and humble host one could wish for. Well done, The Star B&B! We are so relieved that you survived the Covid-19 challenge. Your accommodation remains good value for money and we had a lovely stay... We will definitely be back as soon as the opportunity arises...

Clean rooms with comfy beds as well as cupboard space for clothes.
If you are used to Botswana roads it's fairly easy to find. The owner is fantastic and ready to help where he can.
