Traditional games, tastings, dances and songs, this festival offers an immersive experience at the heart of Botswana culture.
Organized since 2005, this annual event was created by a group of young people known as Bana ba Mmala, with the aim of highlighting Botswana's culture. South-east of Gaborone, the Boatle district is abuzz with activity during the festival. On the program: cultural games, local dishes, fashion shows, storytelling, poetry, traditional dances and songs. All of Botswana's ethnic groups are represented, providing a great opportunity to learn more about the country's culture, which is still under-recognized.
