THREE DIKGOSI MONUMENT
Monument made of remarkable bronze statues in Gaborone. An address to learn more about the history of Botswana.
Located in the central district of Gaborone, this monument consists of three bronze statues, 3 m high, representing Khama III, Sebele I and Bathoen I. Inaugurated in 2005, it is one of the major attractions of the city, to learn more about the history of the country and the role played by these three dikgosi (tribal chiefs) in 1895, during the protectorate. Important events are regularly held at the site, such as the Miss Independence Botswana parades.
