GALLERY ANN
Paintings and handicrafts in an art gallery. A famous address among the residents fond of art openings in Gaborone.
This institution, run with passion by Ann Done, is famous among the residents who are fond of vernissages. In 1972, Ann, an English citizen, left her native country to live in a tent in the heart of the Okavango, before working in small trades in Francistown. She then took a framing course and opened an art gallery in 1989. Ann organizes about ten exhibitions a year of local painters and foreign artists living in Botswana. Her shop, well stocked with paintings, is also full of handicrafts such as pottery.
