Traditional dances and songs, typical dishes and parades, Kanye's city celebrates Ngwaketse culture for three days!
This annual festival honors the Ngwaketse culture, while promoting exchanges with other local cultures in the interest of national unity. The event is supported by the Bathoen II Dam Nature Trust Management Sanctuary, and takes place in Kanye over three days in October. The village community is heavily involved in organizing the festival. Traditional food, poetry, parades, dances and folk music are on the program.
