YAWL SEMINARS
Quite rarely, three seminars are gathered in one place: the diocesan seminar, the Capuchin seminary and the Carme seminar. They are, in fact, small and medium-sized seminars (college and high school) whose students, recruited on test, pay relatively moderate tuition fees (approximately 40 000 annual FCFA) for quality education that provides them with good training, prepares them for exams (100% success at the ferry) and reveals to some of them the religious vocation. There is no accommodation provided on the site, if not houses reserved for families visiting their children. These single rooms can, on occasion and on request, receive tourist tourists. The fathers responsible for the seminar made several attempts at agro-pastoral development to give more autonomy to their community: This large property has beautiful fish pools where all kinds of species are reared (tilapia, carp, silures…), 80 horse for meat and milk (yoghurt also), a pigsty and five horses (animals still rare in the country). Next to the Capuchin Church, without real architectural interest, there is a museum that houses a collection of an impressive wealth of objects belonging to all the central African ethnic groups. This treasure is the result of 50 years of tireless research by Father Valentin, who has gathered, in a enchevêtrement, yet organized enchevêtrement, whose vocation is to prevent ancestral traditions from falling into oblivion. Furnaces and bellows from the iron age to traditional pipes, most pieces are presented in small reconstructions. The Yolé has the largest collection of jet knives (to launch) Central African, some of which are still used by Chadian tribes, the ultimate testimonies of the mixture of civilizations. There is also a very interesting collection of traditional gourmettes, from the most striking to the most imposing, a "creator" space where the ancient and authentic shirts of tree bark (before cotton culture) are exposed, or many labi, these ventral necklaces in shell from the rivers, authentic necklaces and slave chains, masks, quiver, etc. A corner of reconstituted house allows to see traditional pantry aux, an antique heating shaped in clay… A coin devoted to wizards exposes pygmées pygmées and the "stone of truth" ", place of the judgement of sorciers, says "Tahala." Not to mention traditional musical instruments such as koundé, or collections of stories from the old, collected from the old villages, photos and names in support. The seminar, however, deserves better development, dust and, above all, an exhibition manager.
