Set in a 16-hectare estate planted with century-old palm trees, Saly airfield has been open to air traffic and classified since 2009. It boasts a fleet of 11 3-axis microlights, some twenty gyrocopters and two fixed-wing aircraft. Flying lessons and first flights are offered, including the popular gyrocopter flight. There's also a restaurant serving traditional specialities in a friendly atmosphere. Don't miss the famous thiéboudienne, tasty and revisited for Europeans.

My partner booked a trip in a microlite. The service was excellent and he had a super experience. The bar/restaurant is good, drinks are reasonably priced and the service is efficient and friendly. A great place for a snack or meal just to watch the microlites and small aircrafts take off and land if you like that sort of thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there as it is away from the buzz of the town.
