Of the many restaurants and services that line the banks of the Sava River past the beautiful stones of the Zemun quay, Pod Kaketana (the Captain's House) is one of the most popular. A little more upscale than the rest of the restaurants around, it is appreciated for its pleasant atmosphere and good freshwater fish dishes. Meats are not left out and are sometimes accompanied by amazing sweet and sour sauces. The service is sometimes messy and can be very slow, a minor inconvenience in summer on the terrace.
